Ho hum.
just to say Hi to everybody, and to shamelessly plug the CGI again.
it can now claim to be a national society (not bad for 9 members!) as it now has memebers in both Birmingham and Milton Keynes! Yay! :-D
anyhow, just as an update i'm currently trying to design the logo & cards for the society. if anybody has any suggestions please e-mail them to me cgi_soc@yahoo.co.uk.
also i've just set up a LJ community for the CGI

ok, having actually read what i posted last and got some feedback from respectable source's (![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) darkstream) i've changed the CGI membership theory.
anybody's allowed on the forum, and if your on there your a member. with this i ask people to join if their music taste's fit within the CGI.
anybody being a twat on the forum will have their account bitchslapped by me though :-P
eventually i'll have the proper logo sorted out, and then followed by cards for members. these cards will have to be collected from me or later from city heads, as i'm not posting them out (i'm far too skint to!).
the cards are free, and hopefully when the cards are done i'm gonna try to get discounts for members to places like Retribution in Leicester. i'm not making any promise's about this thought, i'm talking to people i know about it!!!!!!

Greetings!
This is the first ever LJ post by the CGI society, so i better start by explaining who i am and what the CGI is. firstly the CGI stands for Cyber, goth & Industrial Society. me, i'm Carl Deacon, i have a personal LJ jacanthas_whip. i'm the person who's set up the CGI as a method of getting to know other people with the same music taste's as myself, both in the city of Leicester, and hopefully nationally.
The CGI is free to join, however there are rules to becoming a member. these are as follows
first you have to like either/or Cyber, Goth or Industrial music. this kinda go'es without saying, but still has to be said. this is the main rule, this one has to be met before any membership is allowed.
the second rule is to shake the hand of one either the head (thats myself) or one of the local heads (people who live in other citie's who basicly run the CGI for that city). this again is a rule that must be met, as thats how i intend to get to know people, which is the point of the CGI.
the third and final rule can be missed, as it's clearly not as important. this rule is to drink alcohol infront of the head/local head. this is really just my way of showing that the CGI isn't a formal society, just more of a meeting place for people with similar music taste's.
so there you go, thats a brief description of the CGI.
i'm gonna be using the CGI LJ as a method of recruiting new members. the method i'm gonna use might seem snobby, but it should work.
basicly if the CGI appears in your friends list it means i'd like you to join. anybody i find in the CGI's friendslist i'll look at their LJ and decide if they should join. that may sound snobby, but its what everybody doe's with thier LJ, the only difference is i'm doing it for a society aswell.
also if your on the friends list please feel free to join the forum, i appologise if you can't access the forum straight the way, it require's me approving you first.
also the forum's up, but not finished yet.
